    It's possible to access in the Colosseum only at the time chosen during the booking phase and it's suggested to show up at the entrance 15 minutes before the chosen time.The entrance to the Colosseum is located at the "Sperone Valadier", near the Arch of Constantine.

  • Ordinary ticket 24h: valid for 24 hours from the first entrance which can take place either at the Colosseum or at the archaeological area of the Roman Forum - Palatine Hill.
    It includes an entrance to the Colosseum, at the time chosen during the purchase phase, with access to the first and second order (without the arena floor) and an entrance to the Roman Forum - Palatine Hill, without time limits.
  • Full Experience: valid 2 days from first use and, compared to the standard ticket, also allows access to the Colosseum Arena or Colosseum Underground and four sites of the Roman-Palatine Forum: the Oratorio dei Quaranta Martyrs, the Palatine Museum (I level), the exterior of the House of Augustus and Schola Praeconum (open until 5.30 pm)
  • Reduced ticket: € 2.00 for citizens of the European Union between 18 and 25 years of age (completed, upon presentation of identity document)
  • free: for all citizens under the age of 18

    Tickets Full Experience Underground and Arena and tickets for the Luna sul Colosseo event are nominative and will contain the visitor's personal data. (Tickets already purchased before 25 June can still be used without visitor data)

    Admission for groups and schoolsTickets and entrance - The Colosseum (5)GROUPS
    Groups of up to 50 people are admitted, including children, guides and companions, suitably spaced and reservations are required bound to an access time.
    Guides or companions who, in the exercise of their function, accompany a group of more than 9 visitors, must necessarily use the whisper that must be their property.
    The free nominative ticket of the guide, valid for 3 daily entrances without time constraints, can be used both for access to the Colosseum with an ordinary route, and for access with an Arena route, while for the Colosseum undergrounds it is necessary also book a free ticket for the guide.


  • EU schools: it is necessary to book access for free online by presenting the names of the pupils and accompanying teachers divided by class and signed by the headmaster on the school's headed paper.
  • Non-EU schools: access is subject to a fee and they must submit a declaration from the home institution that verifies their identification as a school group. It is necessary to buy the full admission ticket for each one and which is free only for under 18s (with valid identity document)

    In the event that school tickets are mistakenly booked instead of tickets for an ordinary group or if the required documentation is lacking, it will not be possible to access the monument and it will be necessary to purchase the correct entrance tickets (if available)

The ticket is issued to students by showing the enrollment certificate for the current academic year

    Free Sundays
    For #unadomenicalmuseo, every first Sunday of the month, the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill are free for everyone.
    In this case, the tickets cannot be booked online but can be collected, directly at the time of the visit, at the ticket office in front of the Colosseum.

    For people with mobility difficulties there is an elevator that connects the I with the II order while three wheelchairs are available on the first floor of the Colosseum, at the security office and another five are located at the main entrances of the Roman Forum.

    For security reasons all visitors and their luggage will be screened.
